Victorian Gothic Revival 18K Oval Locket & Filigree Necklace c.1890
The locket has a masterly hand chased gothic revival design on both sides of the locket. One side also has a monogram in the center. The piece still has its interior frames and windows. The chain is comprised of intricate but sturdy filigree links. Both pieces are made of 18k yellow gold. The locket measures about 1.5″ x 1.25″ (2.1″ long with the bail). The chain measures 20.25″ long. The clasp on the chain is a later 14k gold replacement. The entire piece weighs a total of 31.3 grams
